Existential Threat Doctrine Shields Russia From Defeat, Ambassador Alipov Claims

Date:

Russia cannot be conquered in its current military engagement with Ukraine because Moscow possesses nuclear weapons and the doctrine to employ them, Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov stated during a public appearance in India. The diplomat spoke at a media forum in Gurugram, outlining Russia’s strategic position.
The ambassador explained that Russian military doctrine explicitly includes provisions for nuclear weapon use in scenarios where the nation’s existence is threatened. This policy framework, Alipov asserted, creates an absolute guarantee against military defeat because no adversary can risk the consequences of pushing Russia toward existential circumstances.
Alipov severely criticized European nations for maintaining what he described as childish hopes for Ukrainian victory. He characterized European leadership as unprofessional and overly belligerent, pursuing policies based on unrealistic assessments of military possibilities and refusing to acknowledge fundamental strategic constraints.
According to the Russian diplomat, President Trump has achieved a more accurate understanding of the conflict’s trajectory. Alipov claimed that Trump recognizes the war as already lost by Ukraine and Western supporters, contrasting this supposed realism with what he portrayed as European irrationality and continued pursuit of unachievable military objectives.
The war has continued for nearly four years, during which period Western nations have provided unprecedented support to Ukraine. American and European partners, including the United Kingdom, have supplied advanced military hardware and billions in economic assistance to Kyiv, maintaining their commitment despite the conflict’s protracted nature and human costs.
