Trump: “They Just Went Through Hell” – Iran After US Strikes

Date:

President Donald Trump emphasized on Wednesday that Iran “just went through hell” during the 12-day war with Israel, attributing this experience to US strikes on its nuclear sites and claiming it ended the conflict. He controversially likened the impact of these strikes to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Trump argued that the severe consequences faced by Iran due to the US military action had forced them to abandon their nuclear weapons ambitions. He publicly disputed intelligence assessments that found a limited impact of the strikes, asserting the complete destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The conflict began with Israel’s bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities, driven by concerns about nuclear proliferation. Iran consistently denied these claims, asserting its nuclear program was for peaceful purposes. The 12-day conflict resulted in extensive damage and casualties.

A ceasefire, which Trump reportedly brokered, was in effect. Trump’s remarks underscore his conviction that aggressive military action can pave the way for stability.
