Serbia’s Vučić to Explore Tech Innovations at France’s Bastille Day Parade

Date:

In a notable diplomatic engagement, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić traveled to Paris at the behest of French President Emmanuel Macron. The occasion was the celebrated Bastille Day military parade, marking the first instance a Serbian leader has been invited to this prestigious French national event.

Vučić’s presence was particularly significant, as he was the only leader attending the festivities whose nation is not a member of NATO, the European Union, or the Coalition of the Willing. This underscores the importance of Serbia’s participation in the event, highlighting a unique diplomatic gesture from France.

The Bastille Day parade, held annually on July 14, commemorates the storming of the Bastille in 1789. This historic event is seen as a pivotal moment in the French Revolution, symbolizing the fight for liberty and equality. The inclusion of Serbia’s president this year adds a layer of international cooperation and recognition to the celebration.

During his visit, President Vučić also joined a formal dinner hosted by President Macron. This exclusive gathering was attended by various heads of state and government, further cementing the diplomatic ties between Serbia and France. Vučić’s participation in these events marks a significant step in Serbia’s international relations.
